Eligibility

Who Qualifies for the Accelerated Route?

The Accelerated Route is designed for professionals who have already earned a nationally or internationally recognised certification in management, leadership, or a related field. Instead of starting from entry‑level, you can join SOME at a higher membership tier or with reduced requirements.

Examples of Eligible Certifications

  • Nationally recognised executive leadership programmes (e.g., senior management courses from top business schools).
  • Certifications from SOME partner institutes (e.g., CIPAG, PMI, CFA Institute, CIPD).
  • Professional credentials in strategic management, governance, digital leadership, or organisational transformation.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Executive MBA from an accredited university.
  • Completion of senior military staff college or equivalent leadership programme.

Benefits of the Accelerated Route

Skip Foundation Modules

Bypass entry‑level requirements and move directly to advanced assessments for Fellow or Distinguished Fellow status.

Reduced CPD Requirements

Enjoy reduced Continuing Professional Development (CPD) obligations for the first two years of membership, giving you breathing room.

Waived Application Fee

First‑year application fee is waived for Accelerated Route candidates – a limited‑time incentive to recognise your prior effort.

Immediate Tier Placement

Based on your existing certifications and experience, you may be placed directly at Associate or Fellow level from day one.

How to Apply

Step 1

Complete the Eligibility Form

Provide basic details about your current certifications, years of experience, and the SOME credential you are targeting.

Step 2

Upload Documentation

Upload scanned copies of your existing certifications, transcripts, and any relevant professional references.

Step 3

Pay Assessment Fee

A one‑time assessment fee of $100 USD is required to process your accelerated pathway evaluation. (Waived for the first year for eligible candidates.)

Step 4

Receive Decision

Expect a decision within 14 working days. Successful applicants are immediately enrolled at the appropriate membership tier.

Already hold a SOME certification (CME®, CEL®, CGE®)? You are automatically eligible. Contact info@tsome.org for direct processing.
