Where Executive Excellence Finds Its Home

The Society of Management Executives is the world's premier network for visionary leaders who drive transformation, shape industries, and set the standard for ethical, impactful leadership — across 80+ nations and six continents.

The Society of Management Executives

The Society of Management Executives (SOME) is a distinguished, non-profit professional body established to advance the science, art, and practice of management at the executive level. We serve as the definitive global platform for management professionals who lead organizations, drive transformation, and shape industries — from New York to Singapore, London to Sydney.

Unlike traditional management associations, SOME is exclusively focused on executives — those who bear direct responsibility for strategic outcomes, organizational performance, and people leadership. Our members span six continents and include C-suite leaders, functional heads, business unit directors, management consultants, and high-potential executives on accelerated leadership tracks.

Legally incorporated in the State of Colorado, USA (Certificate of Incorporation #20241623458), and holding a valid Business and Professional License in Colorado, SOME operates with the highest standards of corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Our global secretariat functions from Lagos, Nigeria (co-located with CIPAG), while our legal and administrative headquarters are rooted in the United States.

We are not merely a membership organization; we are a dynamic ecosystem of senior executives committed to shaping the future of leadership in a rapidly evolving global economy. Co-located with CIPAG in Lagos, Nigeria, our reach extends through 55+ chapters worldwide.

The Principles That Guide Us

Five enduring beliefs that shape every decision, program, and interaction at SOME.

1

Leadership Is a Trust, Not a Title

True executive authority is earned through integrity, competence, and service — never merely conferred by position.

2

Practice Precedes Theory

We prioritize actionable, field-tested strategies that work in real organizations under real pressure — globally.

3

Connection Multiplies Competence

No executive succeeds alone. Cross-border peer learning is essential for solving complex challenges.

4

Ethics and Excellence Are Indivisible

Sustainable organizational success demands ethical decision-making at every level of executive responsibility.

5

Context Matters, Principles Endure

Management practice adapts to local industries and cultures, but universal leadership principles remain constant.

"Welcome to the Movement"

"I extend this invitation not to join another organization, but to become part of a movement — one that places executive leadership at the center of sustainable value creation. Whether you lead in Lagos, London, Singapore, or São Paulo, SOME is your trusted global community for candid exchange and genuine recognition."

Whether you are leading a multinational corporation, a growing enterprise, or a public sector transformation, SOME is your platform for continuous growth, candid exchange, and professional recognition across borders.
